Dear Times: How is this Even a Question?

Short post. Not a lot to say about this. Arthur S Brisbane at The New York Times poses the daring question:

I’m looking for reader input on whether and when New York Times news reporters should challenge “facts” that are asserted by newsmakers they write about.

I just… I… what?

I’m sorry, but reaction gifs are far more eloquent than I could ever be. I tried typing up a reasoned response, but all I could do was smash my head into the keyboard over and over.

UPDATE

Apparently Brisbane can go from zero to condescending in, like, four sentences.
