Kotaku posted a followup to the Nerds and Male Privilege article titled “Nerds and Male Privilege Part 2: Deconstructing the Arguments.”
Seriously, missed opportunity with the subtitle there. Mine’s way better. And I’m doing this shit for free. Imagine what I’d pull if I got paid for this. Call me.
Anyway, for those of us who read in this sphere a lot, nothing Dr Nerdlove over there says is new. He tackles basic arguments, and I’ve seen these arguments tackled, like, ten thousand times. But, it’s Kotaku, and there are likely a lot of people who read that site and never realized that their witty, sharp-as-fuck comebacks are just one in a long, long, long series, so long that we have multiple bingo cards for their bullshit.
Still, for those who could use a perspective other than their own, it’s a good intro.
